**Head of Digitalisation and Innovation, Rail Infrastructure UKI, Siemens Mobility Limited**

Rail Infrastructure (RI), one of three businesses within Siemens Mobility Limited UKI, enjoys a very strong position in the UK main line rail signalling market and offers a broader portfolio including control systems, fixed and mobile telecommunications, station management, intermodal solutions, electrification, and customer services.

This is a key role within Rail Infrastructure UKI, providing leadership in the development of digital offerings and shaping the long-term future of the business.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Director of Strategy, Business Development and Digital Transformation, the Head of Digitalisation and Innovation shall help to position Siemens Mobility as the UK leader in Digital, ensuring our clients understand the breadth of our capability and how we can meet their needs.

The position will be at the forefront of RI UKI’s response to the significant opportunity in changing technology, the move from transactional and product-based to service-led offerings and alternative engagement and commercial models and the drive for efficiencies and cost savings through internal digitalisation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Implement the RI UKI Digitalisation Strategy to maintain our market leading position, expand our digital solutions and services capabilities and deliver increased revenue and profitability
- Lead and develop the Digitalisation and Innovation Hub as a centre of excellence for Data Analysis, Digital Services and Internal Digitalisation, mobilising cross-business capabilities as appropriate
- Secure investment for new opportunities or product offerings, including exploring internal and external collaboration opportunities that strengthen our market proposition
- Act as RI UKI product owner for Digital Customer Offerings and represent the business in global digitalisation networks to ensure alignment of strategy and value propositions
- Drive digitalisation into pre-sales, bid activity and post tender programmes
- Collaborate across the business, and with other Siemens Mobility digital teams, to ensure strategic alignment and capability development
- Build digital communications plans with the Marketing & Communications teams
- Regularly report on key performance measures to support investment cases
- Support the development of new digital skills and lead the RI UKI digitalisation community
- Provide detailed understanding of market drivers, customer needs and industry capabilities to ensure competitive new business opportunities
- Engage with the UK transport industry, representing RI UKI on related bodies, delivering white papers, thought leadership and speaking at events and conferences
- Develop strategic relationships and partnerships with higher education institutes, SMEs and start ups to support the Digitalisation Strategy

**What do I need to qualify for this role?**
- Degree qualification in business management, engineering or project management
- Leadership & people management - direct and indirect
- Senior stakeholder engagement, relationship building & influencing - excellent interpersonal skills
- Customer & market focus
- Commercial, results orientated, strategic problem solving & decision making
- Track record in developing business cases & securing investment for new value propositions
- Understanding of digital technologies, e.g. Data Analytics, BIM, Big Data, IoT and Digital Engineering & how technology trends will impact the future
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, proactive &able to challenge the norm
- Agile & flexible, able to adapt quickly to changing market & internal requirements, ambiguity, uncertainty and change
- Strong time management, prioritisation & planning
