An opportunity has arisen to work within the Corporate Governance directorate as a Project Support Officer. Working with the Corporate Services Team and Programme Director - Special Projects, providing support to a number of transformation and commissioning programmes or projects and support the Corporate Services function.

We are looking for a positive and creative individual with the ability to build and develop strong relationships both internally and externally to influence change.

The Project Support Officer will work flexibly across the Corporate Services function and programme areas as needed, demonstrating the ability of working at a senior level, providing high-quality project support including strategic research, information analysis, report writing, and maintenance of project plans and risk logs amongst other duties

The Project Support Officer will be expected to work flexibly, provide high level administrative support to the Corporate Services function and project support to the Corporate Governance directorate ensuring the delivery of key complex projects across differing programmes. The role will also ensure robust project management maintenance of project plans, updating risk and issues logs, chasing actions to help ensure programmes progress at pace, identifying issues or delays, and contributing to report writing and engagement session.

The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) is responsible for planning functions; managing the NHS budget and arranging the provision of health services in the geographical area.

**Location**: Home based/hybrid working (most of posts). Travel on occasions to a Hub location with at least 1 days notice

New starters are expected to collect IT equipment, from offices in Stoke-on-Trent, and if based at home are required to have appropriate desk/chair/ relevant equipment in compliance with DSE regulations.

Posts at Band 8c and above, will take part in the On-call rota, flexible over 7 days, supporting the System Control Centre, with full training provided.

- Co Responsible for line management within the Corporate Services function including undertaking Personal Reviews, monthly one to one meetings, scheduling workloads and overseeing deadlines and day-to-day work.
- Responsible for the coordination, management and maintenance of the programme/project documentation, including the submission of reports to the Programme Team and senior corporate team.
- Supporting the delivery and project tracking of the various programmes of work of the corporate services senior team to support directorate delivery objectives.
- Aiding the Director of Corporate Governance and the Programme Director - Special projects, to negotiate with and motivate ICB teams on their own project delivery aspects, including linking in with other ICB and ICS initiatives.
- Drafting and managing project delivery plans in line with Project/ Programme methodology including: o Gathering and receiving information, this is often of a complex and sensitive nature. o Communicating project sensitive information requiring agreement or co-operation from senior programme managers, and stakeholder organisations and provide advice as necessary.
- Participate in relevant internal and external working groups / projects to provide information analytics advice and support and to maintain data collection systems for its effective use by the Project Team.
- Evaluate and monitor identified risks and issues and highlight necessary action(s) to mitigate or resolve these.
- Manage the organisation and planning of complex meetings, such as Project Boards and Gateway Review meetings between the Programme Office and key stakeholders.
- Producing update reports in line with key performance indicators and programme / project performance, workload or resource reports, resolving any failures in meeting project standards
- Responsible for managing, maintaining and developing systems required for providing high level support to aid the smooth running of the organisation.
- To manage on a day-to-day basis the operational management of health and safety for the organisation.
- To promote and embed effective health and safety practices within the organisation, ensuring that changes to working practices are actioned where necessary.
- To ensure that the requirement for risk assessments is identified and that these are performed promptly, and any other actions identified implemented within appropriate timescales.
- Work with colleagues to ensure that the ICB meets all its obligations with regards to Information Governance.
- Support the ICB in ensuring full legal and statutory organisational compliance for example, adherence to the Nolan Principles.
