**Base Location**: Reading, Cardiff or Perth | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however, need you to be based in one of our SSE offices at least 2 days per week (Reading, Cardiff or Perth).

SSE Energy Solutions (SSE Energy Supply Limited) is the face of SSE to our customers in providing leading energy supply and B2B services in GB. Internally it is identified as SSE Business Energy.

This role will be a direct report to the Director of SSE Business Energy and will be part of the Leadership team. As the Head of Commercial, Markets, and pricing, you will be responsible for the effective leadership and management of Business Energy Customer Pricing, Hedging, Financial Forecasting, Flexi Contract Operations and Data and Analytics.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Pricing Management - Business Energy has over 400,000 customer supply points with revenue in excess of c£3bn annually. You will be responsible for the accurate pricing of customer contracts, which is fundamental to sales and commercial success.
- Hedging - you will manage price and demand risk and exposure for each segment of customer and contract type.
- Financial Planning and Analysis - you will ensure appropriate financial planning, modelling and forecasting tools and processes are implemented to accurately report on financial results and performance of the business. You will forecast short
- and medium-term business performance, and derive financial and commercial strategies to improve outcomes and support long term strategic financial planning assumptions.
- Data and Analytics - you will implement the strategy, roadmap and Target Operating Model (vision, strategy, tools, technology, processes and skill) requirements for the business across data and analysis.
- Flexible contract operations - you will oversee the operational pricing, commodity and non-commodity reconciliations for the largest I&C customers.

**What do I need?**

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A proven track record of success in commercial leadership, with knowledge and experience of energy markets.
- Knowledge and awareness of the Commodity, Non-Commodity costs and drivers in an energy supply organisation.
- Knowledge of the hedging, markets and trading options, and best practice modelling, analytics and financial planning.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication & influencing skills with the ability to build relationships with internal teams and external partners.
