**This role is to cover Doncaster, Sheffield, Stoke and Leicester Depots**

**About the role**
- The Commercial Executive supports the Network team to ensure that all relevant data and records are accurate and effective schedules are produced - in line with company objectives.
- Scheduling driver duties in an effective manner to maximise business efficiency and comply with schedules agreements.
- Compiling duties and rosters within both legal and locally agreed constraints.
- Agree legality of duties with local trade union representatives.
- Monitor schedule efficiency to ensure costs are kept under control.
- Working alongside the commercial, network, operational and marketing teams to identify opportunities for passenger and revenue growth.
- Using data and insight to proactively monitor business performance, being able to early identify emerging trends and issues and highlight wider opportunities to the Network team.
- Assist with the preparation of tender bids for submission.
- Maintain strong links with internal stakeholders across a number of departments, including Operations & Engineering.
- To provide accurate passenger, punctuality or other data to Local Authorities and Department for Transport as required.
- Making suggestions within our Networks to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitoring retail channels and products and leading on innovative and evidenced suggestions for price points, whilst working collaboratively with Divisional functions.
- Working within a divisional framework, to support the regular review and useage of revenue, channel and passenger performance reports - with relevant commentary and insight.
- Providing commercial and analytical support for new business initiatives within the Local Business Unit (LBU).
- Acting as the LBU champion for Commercial data analysis, ensuring that the central investment in improved systems is utilised across the LBU.
- Liaising with colleagues in the central analytics team, and in other operating companies, to ensure best practice analysis is shared.
- To ensure that accurate and up to date TransXchange files are provided to Local Authorities, uTrack, Ticketer etc (prior experience is not necessary, full training will be provided)
**About You**
- We are looking for an inquisitive nature willing to question the status quo.
- Be highly numerate and data-driven, with an awareness of the fundamentals of scheduling, optimisation, and workforce planning.
- The ability to work well in a changing environment and plan for a range of scenarios.
- Being capable of managing your own time and balancing your workload.
- Providing regular relevant input to budget and financial predictions - planned in advance and submitted on time.
- Good analytical and communication skills combined with business acumen, pragmatism and with an excellent sense of diplomacy.
- Significant experience and effective use of Microsoft Excel, PowerBi.
- Strong numerical capabilities
