We have an opportunity for a General Administrator to provide a high-quality administration service across the departments to support the work of the Diocesan Office.

The vision of the Diocese is to help people within the Diocese to know, love and follow Jesus. Based in Hove and serving the people of the Diocese across more than 360 parishes, more than 150 church schools and the wider community, this is great role for someone who support the ethos, aims and objectives of the Diocese and the Church of England.

Positions: General Administrator

Location: Hove/Hybrid

Hours: Full-time

**Salary**: £24,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Benefits: 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays and 2 privilege days per year, flexi-time, free parking, the ride to work scheme, a range of staff development activities and the Diocesan Pension Scheme with 15.1% employer contribution.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside colleague from different departments. Your duties will include:
*Providing administrative support to the Diocesan Safeguarding Team working alongside the full-time Safeguarding Administrator
*Providing finance administration including managing accounting records for Parish Trusts, raising funeral invoices, organising payment of grants, and organising removal quotations
*Supporting the Admin Team by providing reception and telephone cover and undertaking post opening duties

It is anticipated that the General Administrator will spend 2 days per week with the Safeguarding and Finance Departments and 1 day per week supporting the Admin Team. There will be a degree of flexibility in the time spent depending on the needs of each department.

About You

*Experience and confidence in the use of databases
*Strong organisational and administrative skills
*Good customer care and a polite and courteous manner
*A high level of numeracy and literacy and experience in minute taking
*Respectful of confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information

The post holder is required to support the ethos, aims and objectives of the Diocese and the Church of England.

You may have experience in other roles such as Admin, Administration, Administrator, HR Admin, HR Administration, HR Administrator, Admin, Team Administration, Team Administrator, Clerk, Clerical, Admin Support, and Administration Support.
