Due to our continued growth, we seek to recruit Emergency Care Assistants for the Crewe, Cheshire area on our urgent care work.

Job description:
No two days are the same, as an emergency care assistant you will be working alongside clinicians attending every kind of accident and emergency. Our emergency care assistants respond to a wide variety of situations including, patient transport, urgent care and events.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Drive to medical emergencies
- Check and maintain the ambulance
- Assess the risk to yourself and others and ask for more support if needed
- Support the clinician to carry out essential emergency care
- Record patient information and complete a handover report
- To ensure a continuous duty of care to patients, within the scope of practice and competency of this role, ensuring an appropriate level of monitoring and treatment is maintained and continued until the patient is either discharged or transferred to the care of another healthcare professional.

**Salary**: £26 208

Enhanced rate of pay for Frontline shifts for NWAS

To be short-listed for this position you must meet the following criteria:

- FREC 4 or equivalent
- CERAD or IHCD (Ambulance Emergency Driving)
- Have a full driving licence and a C1 on your licence (with no more than 3 penalty points).
- You must be over the age of 21 with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
- Compassionate and patient demeanour
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting and transferring clients
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Schedule:
Are current rota is 3 shifts a week however, we are expecting to move to 4 on 4 off rota.

**Salary**: £26,208.00-£29,952.00 per year
