Warehouse Storeman

**Job Title**: Warehouse / Stores Operative

**Location**:Smarden, Ashford

**Salary**:up to £22,000

**Hours**:Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

**Benefits**:

**Key responsibilities within your new role would be to**:

- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Checking deliveries and ensuring all the correct items have been delivered
- Storing deliveries in the correct locations of the warehouse
- Picking and pallet wrapping of customer orders
- Collating samples for delivery, wrapping and preparing for dispatch
- Preparing marketing samples, sticking and gluing samples onto sample cards
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and safe
- Liaising with the office team for updates on stock, delivery times and export documentation
- Completing stock take to ensure enough stock is on site
- Pick orders as per pick sheets
- Use the forklift to load and unload deliveries, and to move stock around the warehouse
- Collating orders from multiple suppliers into one order for the customer
- Re-wrapping orders if they need to be split for weight purposes for customs
- Using machinery to cut samples
- Booking deliveries in and out
- Reporting any items missing or any items that arrived that were not ordered

**Experience and skills required for this position**:

- Your own transport due to location
- A valid counterbalance forklift licence
- Experience in a warehousing / stores environment
- Strong communication skills
- IT literate and good spoken and written English
- An interest or willingness to learn the different products
- Demonstrate precision, pride and care in your work
- Good organisation and time-keeping skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative but also to work as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
