**Job Type**:Full Time, Permanent

**Location**:Ashford Depot (Kent)

**Purpose of the role**:Management of vehicle fleet, tools, plant and material deliveries

**Shift Schedule**:8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, Weekend availability.

**Main Role and Responsibilities**

As a Lead Storeman you will:

- Maintain a log of vehicles within fleet against respective contracts
- Monitor fuel usage
- Liaise with fleet manager as required
- Ensure drivers are allocated to the correct vehicles
- Manage servicing requirements
- Ensure regular inspections and checks are made on logbooks and vehicles are checked at regular intervals
- Collection and delivery of vehicles as required
- Maintain records of all tools on hire and ensure tools are signed in and out in line with company processes
- Manage and hold records for on and off hires from plant companies
- Ensure tools are off hired when works are completed or when instructed
- Liaise with Northfields depot manager as required
- Ensure tools are serviced when required
- Ensure all tools are accounted for when returned by operational staff
- Execute receiving of materials from suppliers by checking delivery notes against orders
- Maintain stock records and inventories for materials
- Carry out planned general inspections as required
- Ordering materials and consumables
- Loading and unloading of plant and materials as required
- Issue and keep records of PPE issued and purchased
- Provide monthly reports on vehicles, materials and plant
- Any other duties as requested by line manager

**Qualifications and Certifications**

You will
- Qualified Fitter (D)
- Forklift Operator (D)
- Full Driving Licence (E)
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
