Are you tech-savvy with a passion for providing exceptional customer service? Do you thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment? We are currently seeking a motivated IT Service Desk Assistant to join an attractive organisation in Edinburgh on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract.

**Position**: IT Service Desk Assistant

**Contract Type**: Fixed-Term (3-months initial with high liklihood of extension)

**Location**: Edinburgh, Scotland (Hybrid Working - 2 days in the office per week)

**Salary**: £24,500 per annum

**Role Overview**: As an IT Service Desk Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering first-line support to internal colleagues, resolving technical issues, and providing top-notch customer service. Your strong communication skills and technical expertise will be crucial in assisting end-users with a wide range of IT-related queries.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Respond promptly and professionally to incoming IT support tickets and calls.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ranging from hardware problems to software configuration.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate team members while ensuring timely follow-up and issue resolution.
- Create and maintain detailed records of all incidents, service requests, and resolutions in an IT ticketing system.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software for end-users.
- Collaborate with team members to identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a customer-facing IT support role or a similar position.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with software such as: Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange etc
- Experience with setting up new users and supporting hardware
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- A passion for providing outstanding customer service and a willingness to go the extra mile for clients.
