Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join our Community Adult SLT Team based at Stapleford. The post includes:
4 days within the Specialist Medicine and Dementia Pathway and 1 day within the Stroke Pathway.

The Community SLT team works with people who have swallowing and communication difficulties as a result of a range of different conditions. We are a unidisciplinary service and have excellent links with local specialist MDTs.

We have a blended approach to patient management including telephone triage/treatment and face to face visits in the most appropriate settings. There is also the opportunity to provide group therapy.

As part of this post there will be a requirement to give regular support to a small inpatient hospital that provides rehabilitation, recovery, and ongoing assessment to older adults.

This post would suit an autonomous practitioner who is looking for a flexible option and works comfortably within a team but is equally happy to be out in the community.

We have the support of a small Speech and Language Therapy Assistant Team and volunteers.
