**Job overview**:
The post holder will develop, roll out and deliver a complimentary therapies service to our staff across the NCA organisation. With responsibility for assessing, planning, organising, and providing a combination of complementary therapies for example Reiki, Reflexology etc, the post holder will create a caring and safe environment, addressing the comfort needs of our staff, which results in a positive impact on our staff wellbeing. The post holder will be responsible for recruiting and training volunteers to build a volunteer-led Complementary Therapy service and develop plans for roll out of services to include patients.

**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder will be responsible for:

- Establishing a volunteer-led Complementary Therapy service across the whole NCA, that staff can access
- Provide training and development to the volunteers to ensure that service users receive quality service
- Developing and growing the number of one to one and group complimentary therapies delivered across the NCA
- Overseeing the development and training of volunteer complementary therapists
- Implementing a system of review to ensure the volunteers are providing good experience to users
- Maintaining appropriate records of individuals receiving therapies
- Manage and deliver the provision of complementary therapies to NCA staff
- Develop plans to advertise and promote the service across the NCA to optimise this opportunity and ensure sufficient uptake so that a review of effectiveness can take place
- Once the service is up and running, develop plans to expand the provision for patients
- To audit, evaluate and/or research the complementary therapy service to assess its effectiveness and any correlations with reductions in staff absences
- Prepare evidenced based reports to support the continuation and expansion of the service
- To maintain professional development to facilitate the provision of evidence-based practise
- Take responsibility for ensuring the service has sufficient equipment and supplies to provide the service
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as designated by the Head of Volunteering

- Literacy level 2 or equivalent
- Numeracy level 2 or equivalent
- Degree or significant equivalent work experience
- Teaching qualification eg diploma in lifelong learning

- Leadership and management qualification
- Project management qualification

**Knowledge, skills and experience**:

- Practical experience delivering complimentary therapies in a salon or clinical setting
- Experience of leading and managing a team
- Experience of delivering teaching to others
