**JOB TITLE**:Technical Administrator

**JOB PURPOSE**

To be responsible for supporting the Technical Department with daily administration and maintenance of all quality related data.

To support the Site Technical Manager and all site functions in maintaining all technical site systems and teams to ensure effective delivery of an operationally excellent food manufacturing facility in line with Hovis Ltd business requirements.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collection, reviewing, reporting and archiving of all production / processing paperwork. Logging of any issues onto the Daily Sheet Check data report.
- Data inputting from slicing and scaling till rolls onto the information capture sheet
- Collection of bread samples for mould free shelf life analysis and completion of all bread checks and data collection
- Collection of micro samples and collation for collection by the external laboratory
- The logging and trending of all customer complaints and communicating the complaints received effectively.
- Initiating complaint investigations and liaising with the site technical and operational teams to gain relevant information and corrective actions to report to the Site Technical Manager and Central Technical complaints team accordingly.
- Generate a weekly complaints report, identifying any trends and reporting to the Compliance Manager.
- Hold a monthly complaints meeting with all relevant departments.
- Gathering of technical KPI results and updating the technical information boards for weekly team briefings.
- To trend, report and analyse data on Mould Free Shelf Life (MFSL), Environmental and finished product Microbiology.
- Development of trend reports, communication of issues and chase up of any issues relating to Technical or Quality.
- Completion of weekly / monthly Senior Leadership Team and weekly technical team meeting minutes.
- Preparation and printing of production paperwork packs for the following week.
- To conduct and monitor routine internal audits i.e. Hygiene, glass and hard plastic, process walks and ensure that any corrective actions raised are logged, followed up and closed out in a timely manner.
- Liaising with internal audit team and ensuring audit reports are written up
- To assist with data collection for all visits and third party audits
- To work with Technical team members, track and maintain schedule of all site technical projects.
- To work within the appropriate H & S procedures and to promote a strong awareness amongst all staff of a safe working environment.
- Assist and support all members of the Technical Department with any day to day administration tasks that they may have.
- Any other reasonable work instruction requested by the Compliance Manager and/or Site Technical Manager.
**KNOWLEDGE & SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS**

**Essential**
- Previous experience working in food manufacturing in a quality/technical role.
- Attention to detail with a precise and accurate approach.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Confident, supportive and capable individual to offer a professional and can do approach
- Strong IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft office suite and Google platforms
- Team player with a proactive approach and initiative to consistently reach and exceed customer and quality standards in a fast changing environment
- Able to demonstrate a flexible response to role responsibilities and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
**Desirable**
- Food qualification would be preferred but is not essential.
- HACCP Knowledge
- BRC / Retailer best practice experience
- Internal auditing experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
