Job Description.

The responsibilities of a receptionist include many different roles. You will be trained to:

- Welcome patients into the practice and checking them in for their appointments.
- Answer patient queries via the telephone triage system, and face to face at reception, dealing with admin queries, medication queries etc.
- Book appointments for the GP and nursing clinics.
- Signpost ailments to the correct service/clinician.
- Issue prescriptions appropriately and dealing with any medication requests.
- Scan incoming mail into patient records.
- Filing results into patient notes.
- Assess and book Home Visit requests.
- Register patients, including re-registrations.
- Return patient notes following deductions.
- Complete 'workflow' and 'mail manager' tasks.
- Prioritise and Organise workloads.
- Engage politely and professionally with patients and the public.
- Handle sensitive data in a confidential manner complying with GDPR guidelines.
- Be reliable and punctual.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be able to use a computer confidently, including Vision and Microsoft Word.
- Have an excellent telephone manner.
- Be flexible, and able to cover sickness at short notice.
- Have a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Have an excellent use of English language.
- Customer Service Experience is desirable.
- Welsh Speaking is desirable but not essential for this post.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week

**Salary**: £10.45 per hour
