A not-for-profit company, owned by local schools and council, that is a key provider of careers advice, work experience and work-related learning for schools, are looking to appoint an **Employment Engagement Manager**.
As a relatively new organisation with an established customer base, this is an **exciting time to join them and have a real input into their culture and business vision** at, what can only be described as, an integral, formative time for the company. Central to this is a **customer-focused, flexible approach**, which is **always guided by what is best for the school**, achieved by forming innovative partnerships with leading organisations across the country.
This is a **permanent role with varied and flexible working arrangements** - the office is based in East London, but the post will require a mixture of working from the office, working from home and travel within the borough and across London asand when required. As an **equal opportunities employer**, the organisation will consider full-time, part-time and term-time only contracts. The salary is **£33,000- £36,000 per annum**, dependent on experience.
As the **Employer Engagement Manager**, you will be **responsible for building a network of contacts and relationships with employers and higher education providers locally, across London and beyond**. These networks are essentialin enabling company to meet demand from schools for work experience placements, work-related learning, and careers events - all of which depend heavily on voluntary contributions from businesses. As such, the **Employer Engagement Manager** is instrumental to the successful delivery of the work experience and careers service.
Key responsibilities of the**Employer Engagement Manager** will be to:

- Build a pool of employers to host high quality work experience placements across the borough, neighbouring boroughs, in Central London and beyond
- Ensure the pool of employers is continually refreshed and expanded, both to meet the growing demand, and to reflect changing patterns of employment and emerging industries and careers
- Build relationships with universities and other higher education providers in order to gain their support for, and contribution to, careers, widening participation, and work-related learning events
- Work with employers and other stakeholders to help develop and deliver a range of events which enable students to interact with employers and universities, raising aspirations and challenging stereotypes at all levels
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the changing nature of careers and employment opportunities likely to be available in the future to today's students and communicate this clearly to the organisation itself, the council and other stakeholders
To be considered for this position, you will have the following **essential skills, knowledge, and experience**:

- Evidence of having successfully engaged diverse organisations, ideally in both the public and private sectors, in order to build support for a service or organisation
- Ability to rapidly build strong relationships and partnerships with a hugely diverse range of employers, and to secure their genuine commitment to supporting careers and work experience related activity
- Excellent written communication and marketing skills in order to engage employers via targeted social media and traditional communication channels
- Excellent record keeping and data management skills using CRM platforms and to support stakeholders to use these platforms efficiently. Maintaining consistency of data input and records
- Ability to listen and respond to the needs of young people, staff in schools, businesses, and other stakeholders
- Thorough knowledge of employment patterns and trends and ability to translate this to the development of the employer pool and the range of opportunities available to young people
