DHL Aviation are currently recruiting for a Environmental Co-ordinator Apprentice, to join our Environmental department at our site at, East Midlands Airport, on a fixed term contract for the duration of the Apprenticeship.

**Key responsibilities of this role**:

- Supporting colleagues in achieving Fully Certified GoGreen Specialist programme
- Ensuring DHL Aviation as an entity stay above 80% for completion of Certified GoGreen Specialist Foundation
- Contacting charities and coordinate tree planting, litter picks and any other environmental activities
- Building relationships with Customs, Operations departments on projects and GoGreen
- Providing feature stories and update the GoGreen TV screens, Newsletters
- Working with and supporting the Environmental Manager/GoGreen Coordinator on current projects, such as Carbon Neutral building and finding sustainable initiatives to packaging etc
- Input and analysing data for energy, waste, energy management system etc
- Supporting the organisation for our annual GoGreen Week
- Using First Choice tools such as GEMBA & Performance Dialogues’ to highlight areas of risk and recommendations with continuous improvement and monitoring i.e., Operational processes for packaging
- Researching and communicating ideas of developments that could be trialled at DHL
- Analysing data for spend on energy, paper, packaging and more
- Ensuring compliance such as ISO14001 etc
- Supporting GAP analysis for ISO50001 and its implementation and support ESOS requirements
- Supporting in researching stories and information for quarterly newsletters and internal SmartConnect social media to promote GoGreen activities

**Training you will undertake includes**:

- End-Point Assessment (EPA): professional discussion and work-based project followed by a report and presentation with questioning
- Delivery Method: Online portfolio to update with learning and development, Diarised virtual appointments with a dedicated Learning Coach, Attendance to training sessions, workshops, masterclasses (online)
- Additional training to take place to develop knowledge, skills, and behaviours in accordance with this Apprenticeship standard

**Qualifications that you'll gain**:

- Level 4 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner apprenticeship standard
- Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths (if required)
