Care Coordinator

We are looking for a Care Coordinator for **our Tewkesbury/Cheltenham **areas - This position will be based working at our head office in Staverton.
We are a family-owned business with an excellent reputation in Gloucestershire and we are keen to find the perfect person to complement our team.
This position is a full-time role, which is Monday to Friday 8-30am - 5.pm.
**We can only consider applicants that have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.**
We would like someone with experience in a Care Coordinator role that understands scheduling visits. It is imperative that you have good people skills and understand the importance of building a rapport and trust within your care team. Ensuring good communication and be able to lead from the front.
**Role Responsibilities**
- To be responsible for coordinating all the care visits in the area each week.
- To plan a regular permanent schedule of calls that will offer clients and carers continuity.
- To arrange cover for staff annual leave and sickness.
- To liaise with families and health care professionals and build good relationships with the local council brokerage team.
- To support the Service Manager with the growth of the business
- To deliver care to any visits unable to allocate each week.
- To always act in the best interests of the business
- To have a good knowledge of Tewkesbury and Stroud.
- Support new care staff, arranging shadowing and mentoring.
- Have NVQ/Diploma Level 2 or 3 or willing to complete level 3.
- Will have a positive, "can do" attitude.
- Have a full driving license - **Essential.**:
- Have care experience or experience in a Care Coordinating role or similar.
- Be approachable and friendly.
- Be able to use their initiative and work unsupervised.
- Be organised and able to plan and cope in emergency situations.
- Have an excellent telephone manner.
- Be able to work under pressure of a role that you need to be extremely reactive too.
