**What you'll be doing**
- Day-to-day management of delivery, ensuring efficient and effective performance of the team;
- Review and reconcile actual performance of the team against planned assumptions;
- Propose and implement changes to support a culture of continual improvement;
- Manage timesheets, job sheets and associated paperwork;
- Ensure quality of service is being maintained and provide technical advice to crews;
- Ensure daily work schedules are correct and that gangs are deployed in effective manner;
- Provide management reports and complete statutory paperwork as required using Power BI to report performance;
- Provide the best utilisation of materials, equipment and manpower;
- Duty Agent out of hours (on a rota basis) Winter Maintenance duties as needed;
- Preparation of all civils pre-construction safety & construction phase documentation;
- Support the production of as built records and health and safety files;
- Prepare detailed construction programmes, carry out ECI where needed.

**Who we're looking for**
- Work pro-actively to build strong client relationships with WSCC counterparts and other stakeholders. Use ECI to shape work type and controls adding value to processes;
- Liaising with members of the client team to ensure that the client’s needs are met and provide effective delivery and solutions through industry experience.

Detailed Knowledge / Experience
- Demonstrable experience delivering highways reactive and planned works, detailed knowledge of surfaces, drainage, civils, structures, signs, cyclical, road markings & studs;
- Demonstrable experience of reviewing and implementing safe systems of work;
- A people manager who can motivate staff to provide quality works at all times;
- Good communication skills, verbal and written with ability to deal with difficult or confrontational situations;
- Ability to understand needs and provide solutions to problems;
- Ability to work on their own initiative and be able to schedule workload to meet priorities;
- Ability to assess productivity and implement effective controls to ensure correct levels are maintained and improved without compromising quality.
