Our friendly team at Meallmore are looking for a Laundry Assistant to be part of the team in Auchtercrag House Care Home in Ellon. Set within the quaint town of Ellon, less than half an hour from Aberdeen, Auchtercrag House is a purpose-built, care facility. We have gained a proud reputation for providing exceptional levels of care to residents with a range of conditions and needs, from dementia to palliative care.

Our mentorship programme and ongoing learning and development will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career.

**Your role as a Meallmore Laundry Assistant will include**:

- Sorting and organising laundry
- Operating laundry equipment
- Cleaning the bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas for the elderly residents of our 71-bed care home
- Vacuum rooms and corridors
- Dispose of waste accordingly
- Change and replenish towels and guest amenities in line with company guidelines
- Restock and maintain trolley on daily basis completion of cleaning schedules

**Qualifications and skills**:

- Experience working within care homes, hospitality, schools or commercial (desirable but not essential)
- Positive, compassionate, patient and respectful attitude.
- Flexible and reliable.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- A driven individual that can use their own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Salary**: £10.50 + overtime rates + benefits
