Ecommerce Team Leader

We are hiring an Ecommerce Team Leader to manage the e-commerce part of our business.

This role has great flexibility between both our Edinburgh Road and College Mains sites.

To assist the Operations and Production Management Team in achieving and maintaining the highest possible service levels to all our customers. Ensure the smooth running of the warehouse operation through the optimum use of all resources available.

Duties & Responsibilities
- To lead and guide employees through motivation, individual development and personal example.
- To effectively communicate with other members of the management team to ensure all operational daily tasks are covered and are completed in a timely manner.
- Monitor sickness absence and attendance of employees reporting back to the Team Manager for follow up where necessary.
- Highlight employee conduct, performance or development requirements to the Team Manager.
- To maintain team awareness through regular team briefings. Ensure constructive feedback is recognised with the individual employee and that ideas and suggestions are passed back up to the management team.
- Maintain team compliance to all Quality requirements.
- Maintain team compliance to all legislative requirements relating to the movement and storage of stock.
- To ensure that all required Induction, Basic Operations and Health and Safety training is completed for all employees in a timely manner
- To ensure the highest standard of warehouse housekeeping and maintenance of company assets is achieved.
- To fully comply with all Health and Safety requirements and instruction given.
- Ensure all equipment is used in a safe manner and by authorised personnel only.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as may be required by management from time to time
- To at all times promote the corporate image of the Company and the Company’s clients through the provision of the highest level of service quality. Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behaviour in completing job duties and assignments.

Experience & Essential Qualities

Essential
- Experience of leading a team
- Educated to Standard Grade Level English and Maths
- To have gained or in the process of management level 3 course
- A minimum of 12 months previous experience of working in a warehouse environment and/or the field of Animal Health.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- A positive and self-confident approach when dealing with associates
- A willingness to offer suggestions for improvements where problems are identified
- A willingness to perform minor administrative tasks as requested by senior members of staff.
- MS Office skills essential

Desirable
- Leadership or Supervisory Skills
- The ability to recognise and deal with problems as they arise and / or refer them to the Team Manager for appropriate action.
- Experience of the petfood/ecommerce process.
