**Position Overview**:A hairdresser is a skilled professional who specializes in providing a range of hair care and styling services to clients. These services can include hair cutting, coloring, styling, and various treatments to enhance the appearance and health of clients' hair. Hairdressers also engage in client consultations, offer personalized recommendations, and stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in the hair industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Client Consultations**:Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Consult with clients to understand their desired hairstyles, preferences, and any specific concerns.
Offer professional advice on suitable hairstyles based on hair type, face shape, and lifestyle.

**Hair Cutting and Styling**:Perform precise haircuts using various techniques, such as layering, texturizing, and razoring.
Create intricate and stylish hairstyles for special occasions, events, and everyday wear.
Use styling tools like curling irons, straighteners, and hairdryers to achieve desired looks.

Perform hair treatments such as deep conditioning, keratin treatments, and hair masks to improve hair health and texture.

**Hair Extensions and Additions**:Attach hair extensions, weaves, or other hair additions to achieve desired length or volume.
Blend extensions seamlessly with natural hair for a natural appearance.

**Chemical Services**:Administer chemical treatments like perms and relaxers while following safety protocols to ensure client satisfaction and safety.

**Maintaining Cleanliness**:Keep the salon station and equipment clean, sanitized, and organized.
Dispose of hair and waste materials properly and maintain a tidy workspace.

**Product Knowledge**:Stay informed about different hair care products, styling tools, and equipment available in the market.
Recommend appropriate products to clients for maintaining their hairstyles and hair health at home.

**Keeping Up with Trends**:Continuously update knowledge about current hair trends, styles, and techniques through training, workshops, and industry publications.

**Client Relationships**:Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service and personalized experiences.
Address client concerns and ensure their satisfaction with services provided.

**Appointment Scheduling**:Manage client appointments, ensuring punctuality and efficient time management.

**Qualifications**:

- Formal training and certification from a recognized cosmetology or hairdressing school.
- Strong technical skills in cutting, coloring, and styling various hair types.
- Knowledge of different hair textures, face shapes, and suitable hairstyles.
- Understanding of hair products, chemicals, and their effects on hair.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.
- Attention to detail and creativity in crafting unique hairstyles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple clients.
- Adherence to salon and industry hygiene and safety standards.

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
