Reports To: Internal Healthcare Group Team Leader

Overview:
The Internal Key Account is responsible for supporting the National Strategic Partnership Manager to onboard, retain and grow the most important customer accounts in the company. These accounts make up a high percentage of the company income, and the Internal Key Account Specialist must build and maintain a strong relationship with the customer on a day-to-day basis. They will be the internal lead point of contact for all key customer matters, anticipate the customer’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the customer are met, and help the customer succeed.

The Key Account Specialist will also be required to prospect for new business within NHS Trusts, Corporates, Private organizations, Integrated Care Boards and tender agreements, creating warm leads for the National Strategic Partnership Manager. They will also be instrumental in on-boarding new customers and working across divisions to ensure a smooth process for introduction to Henry Schein.

The Internal Key Account Specialist will work as part of a wider customer engagement team, supporting customers across Integrated Care Boards (ICB’s), NHS Trusts, NHS Supply Chain and Corporates in identifying savings opportunities, obtaining products for evaluation and acting as a change agent to accelerate sales growth. They will be integral in supporting the National Strategic Partnership Manager to enable cross-functional implementation of contracts, working with, but not limited to, Sales, Marketing, Customer Pricing Analysts, Product Category Management, Inventory Management, Finance and Business Analysts.

Job responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need to have experience of working in both a sales and customer service role in a similar environment. As you will be working closely with the stakeholders on projects, excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to understand, manage and deliver on projects will be required. Previous experience of analyzing data and presenting back on the findings and solutions would be necessary to be able to deliver on targets. - Developing a solid and trusting relationship with major key customers
- Resolving key customer issues and complaints
- Developing a complete understanding of key account needs
- Anticipating key account changes and improvements
- Managing communications between key customers and internal teams
- Assisting the National Strategic Partnership Manager to create and deliver on strategic plans
- Managing agreements with the customer and establishing a timeline of performance
- Assisting the National Strategic Partnership Manager to establish and oversee internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the customer
- Working with the Sales team, Marketing, Inventory, Customer Services and team members from other departments, dedicated to the same customer account, to ensure the highest quality of materials are being produced and all customer needs are met
- Identifying product category gaps within the customer’s purchasing portfolio and presenting offers within these areas to grow sales
- To be a Henry Schein Private Label Brand Ambassador and creating opportunities to expand our product portfolio
- Assisting the National Strategic Partnership Manager to plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training
- Meeting all customer needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
- Analysing customer data to provide customer relationship management
- Expanding relationships and bringing in new customers, via both tender agreements and direct relationships
- Long-term filling of the sales pipeline for continuous turnover and profit growth and improved market share
- Provide recommendations for future enhancements to the strategy, creative approach, internal operations, service offering and targeted market
- Attend sales meetings, exhibitions and training days as directed by the National Strategic Partnership Manager
- Take accurate and detailed meeting notes, for internal and external meetings
- Co-attend on-line and physical meetings with customers, alongside the National Strategic Partnership Manager
