**How will I help? **Lead a team of 7 staff across eFX Support, FXIT, Murex Support, ION Support and PTC. The primary objective of this role is to mentor and lead a team of highly skilled Support Professionals in providing Pre and Post Trade Support for Financial Markets and Treasury users. In addition, the Head of FM Support will act as the Certified Person for Algo Trading as required by the FCA for the Senior Managers and Certification Regime, ensuring that all algorithmic trading functions comply with the rules and spirit of SMCR regulations
- Lead a team of highly skilled IT Support professionals.
- Drive and deliver the Financial Markets Technology Strategy
- As the CP for Algo Trading, ensure that all Algo developments and deployments are in keeping with the SMCR guidelines, with suitable processes and documentation in place.
- Work directly with the senior leadership group to manage their priorities and deliver technology solutions that meet their strategic goals.
- Relationship management with the business leadership team and external suppliers.
- Embrace and advocate for new technologies as they are rolled out across the region.
- Ensure team members take ownership of programs of work and drive the programs to their conclusion.
- Actively manage business expectations and delivery schedules across a range of critical business portfolios.
- Coordinate testing (pre
- and post-rollout) for all changes impacting the E&A region
- Produce management reports.
- Provide coaching and guidance to your team as well as other teams within the wider technology group.

**What do I need?**
- Good business domain knowledge of Financial Markets (FX, Commodities, Fixed Income & Derivatives) and Treasury products.
- Knowledge of and experience with third-party vendor systems.
- Knowledge of business processes from front to back office, inclusive of finance, middle office, risk management and treasury.
- Exposure to Trading systems (Algo, FX and Debt Markets) and management consoles.
- Knowledge of risk management and settlement Systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with incident and problem management technologies.
- People management skills.
- Quick learner with a great “can do” attitude.
- Customer and quality focused.
- Good negotiation and communication skills especially when dealing with business and technology units and vendors.

- Experienced in working with a diverse range of Westpac staff (e.g. front office, back office, Finance, Infrastructure, Compliance and Risk).
