Our West Yorkshire based manufacturing client are going through a period of sustained growth and now require an experienced Electrical Engineer with experience of assembling and testing power transformers to join them. As Electrical Engineer you will beinvolved in in-house fitting, assembly and test work and also take a leading role in site based activities where appropriate, travelling to site to install and service equipment. You'll be joining an ambitious company with a family feel and deserved reputationfor treating their staff well.
Electrical Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Power Transformers / Electrical Distribution / Assembly / Fitting / Test / Service
- In-house fitting and assembly of various types of distribution and power transformers
- Travel to third party sites both in the UK and abroad to build up the equipment and test, sometimes including anti-social hours
- Ensure that all equipment is assembled and tested to the highest standard
Electrical Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Power Transformers / Electrical Distribution / Assembly / Fitting / Test / Service
- Apprentice trained with appropriate engineering qualification
- Hands on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is essential
- Read and understand mechanical and schematic drawings
- Competent user of general workshop machinery and hand tools
- It would be beneficial, but not required, for you to have up-to-date training with on Overhead Crane / Slinging Lifting certification and a FLT licence
