Experienced Manual Machinist

TC Engineering Glossop Limited has been established for over 40 years as a manufacturer of quality light to medium fabrications with a fully equipped machine shop where there is a vacancy for an experienced, manual machinist to join the Glossop based team who can add to the strength and depth of the company. The Role;
- Reading technical drawings and accurate marking out
- Selection of materials from stock for machining components
- Using DROs to accurately produce machined components
- Turning on a selection of manual centre lathes upto 3.5 mtrs long
- Milling on multi axis manual machines
- Loading and unloading with overhead cranes and FLTs
- Machining a variety of materials including plastics, mild & stainless steels, alloys, etc
- Reverse engineering solutions to assist repairs to fabrications
- Working alongside senior fabricators to effectively repair customer components
- Mentoring junior machinists to develop their manual machining abilities
- Ideally suited to someone who has been a manual machinist for at least 10 years

Salary depending on experience, hours of work 39 hours per week, holiday pay, pension scheme and overtime available during busy periods

**Salary**: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
