British Heart Foundation (BHF) has a large retail estate of circa 700 shops across the UK and we are recruiting a Retail Compliance Officer, to join our new Retail Compliance team for a 24-month FTC to help to deliver industry leading service on various compliance aspects for our Retail estate. Compliance areas relate to fire, asbestos, legionella, mould, and any future air quality, but the scope is not limited to just building risks.

As Retail Compliance Officer you will support the Head of Retail Compliance on all the reporting and some administrative tasks related to the monitoring/ evidencing/ reporting of compliance activity.

This role will involve direct liaison with the wider Retail directorate including shops and stores, central operations, health and safety and the wider property teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of compliance activity.

You will build and monitor reporting dashboards and assist the team with implementing and changes or improvements that are required.

You will also manage the review of risk programmes in place to ensure any weaknesses are addressed in a timely and effective manner including the completion of any administrative requirements associated with corrective actions generated by 3rd party FRA visits or any other inspections associated to the risks.

**Working arrangements**

Please note this is a fixed term contract for 24 months.

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our Northampton office. You will be expected to spend an average of 3 days per week in their office.

We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, excellent focus, and high attention to detail. With strong IT skills, you’ll be skilled in MS Office (Excel, Forms & PowerPoint) and experience working on data-based projects would be advantageous. Naturally inquisitive and innovative you’ll be able to create and run detailed reports.

You’ll have previous experience within a data analytical or compliance role and will be diligent to ensure systematic ways of working and reporting.

With excellent communications skills, you’ll be able to work with internal and external stakeholders. Highly efficient, you’ll have strong time management skills and the ability to work on various projects within the given timelines.
