Due to securing the National Highways Area 9 contract, we are looking for Zonal Response Operatives to join us. These roles are all about delivering works in response to incidents across the network within the contract.

The work is manual. It’s outdoors in all weathers and it’s physically demanding. But it’s also rewarding. You’ll be part of a team, pulling for each other and working together to keep the network safe. You’ll be working in live traffic environments.

The rota is 4 on / 4 off and you’ll average 42 hours a week. This means weekends & bank holidays are working days on your rota. On average, you’ll work 182.5 days over the year. We have day and night shifts so can work either, or both. We provide training,PPE and everything you need to deliver in your role.

**Main Responsibilities**
Employed by Colas Ltd, you’ll be working across the Midlands on light maintenance including things like sign cleaning and litter picking. You may have experience of traffic management previously where you could have needed NHSS 12A/B accreditations and experience.

The contract is spread across a wide geographical area including Gloucester, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands, Worcester, and Herefordshire.

Ideally, we’d love you to bring existing skills, accreditations, and experience from within the industry. However, we know what the market is like in the construction industry and because of this, we’re also interested in speaking to anyone who would liketo begin a career in this industry.

Having an HGV Class C1 license would be an advantage but if you don’t have one, please don’t be put off as we can help you get one.
