**Job Description**:
As an Operations Coordinator, you will have an interesting range of responsibilities as this role involves all aspects of air and sea import forwarding. Operational excellence is key to this role with focus on servicing the client and you will be working with our operations manager and support our teams in regional branches on a day-to-day basis. This opportunity will allow you to elevate your skills to the next level with on-the-job training and work with an experienced team, growing you as a professional who will be ready for the next step in their careers.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
- Deal with all aspects of International and Domestic freight movements (Import & Export by Air/Ocean, shipment, and consolidation) in support of the Operations team
- Act as a conduit between customers and suppliers to ensure all needs are met within the specified delivery time
- Create customs declarations in line with HMRC and current legislation ensuring compliance in the process and ensure COD payments are collected prior to movement of goods
- Liaise with overseas offices for shipment movements, taking responsibility for monitoring progress and keeping the customer advised of the status
- To support the gateway concept including product development initiatives
- In support of Operations Manager to lead continuous improvement within the department to improve process, efficiency, and productivity to benefit department and business
- Connect with our customers to determine other opportunities for new lanes/activity, and ensure best practice

**Qualifications**:

- 2 years’ experience of start to finish in air imports
- Driven, resilient, thinks in solutions and opportunities
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent Including Maths and English
- Excellent and adaptive interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of CargoWise
- Team player, commercially focused, good time management, and excellent interpersonal skills
