The Outreach Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing community outreach initiatives within a residential setting. This role focuses on establishing positive relationships with residents, community organizations, and local stakeholders to enhance the overall well-being and engagement of the residential community and non-profit organizations. The Outreach Specialist plays a critical role in fostering a sense of belonging, promoting inclusivity, and addressing the unique needs and concerns of residents.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Outreach Programs:

- Design and execute community outreach programs tailored to meet the specific needs of the residential community and non-profit organizations.
- Identify and engage with residents, community groups, and local organizations to assess needs and develop strategies for effective outreach.
- Collaborate with the resident advisory board, if applicable, to gather input and incorporate community feedback into program planning.

Establish and Maintain Partnerships:

- Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, nonprofits, businesses, and government agencies to create a network of resources and support for the residential community.
- Collaborate with external partners to coordinate events, workshops, and educational programs that align with the needs and interests of residents.
- Act as a liaison between the residential community and non-profit organizations, facilitating communication, and fostering collaboration.

Resident Engagement and Support:

- Develop strategies to encourage resident participation in community activities and events.
- Provide guidance, resources, and support to residents in accessing community services, such as healthcare, education, and social support.
- Act as a point of contact for residents, addressing their concerns, answering inquiries, and advocating on their behalf.

Promote Inclusivity and Diversity:

- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment within the residential community, ensuring that all residents feel valued and respected.
- Develop initiatives that celebrate and embrace diversity, promoting cross-cultural understanding and dialogue.
- Implement strategies to address social and cultural barriers, promoting social cohesion and harmony within the residential community.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as community development, social work, or sociology (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in community outreach, program development, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of community resources, services, and agencies that can support resident needs.
- Sensitivity to cultural, socioeconomic, and individual differences, and an understanding of the challenges faced by diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Pay: £600.00-£1,100.00 per week
