**Job Title**:Traffic Signal Operative

**Base Location**: St Columb-Cornwall

**Salary**:£31,034** **plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing plus a workload-based incentive scheme, Van with fuel card, specialist tools and all PPE

**Working Pattern**: Permanent | Full Time -Overtime available at a premium rate for any hours worked over 37 per week as well as an ‘on call’ rota, 1 week in 5 with additional payments for standby and call outs.

**What will I be doing in this role?**

Enerveo have an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million streetlights across the UK and Ireland and we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints, helping towns and cities become smarter, greener and more efficient which benefits us all.

Joining us as a Traffic Signal Operative, you will be responsible for both routine maintenance and reactive repairs on highways traffic signals, pedestrian crossings and highway information signs. Working within a small team, you will resolve issues efficiently ensuring the safety of all road users, and your team.

This role would suit someone who is looking to transfer from their existing role, perhaps from domestic or commercial electrical works and learn new skills, gain additional qualifications and enjoy working outdoors, in the beautiful Cornish scenery

**What do I need to be successful in the role?**

We are looking for someone who either has a previous background in Traffic Signals repair and maintenance, or a fully qualified Electrician looking for a career change. We would love to see the following on your CV;
- Previous experience as an electrician or similar electrical role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety ,systems, wiring, and circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and site plans.
- Familiarity with traffic signal systems and their components is an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices.
- Happy to work outdoors in all weathers, and at height if needed
- A full Driving Licence
