**Head of People - Scotland**:
First Bus are a company early in our transformation journey and as it gathers pace and we improve the working lives of our colleagues, it's important that we continue to adapt and modify how we do things. We** **have recently reshaped our HRSLT team and due to a internal promotion we now have a vacancy for a Head of People to cover Scotland. You will be excited by being part of this journey, building up what excellence looks like in First Bus and working with your local business to act as a trusted, strategic advisor to the MD and SLT.

**The Role**

As a Head of People, you will steer the People function for the Scottish Local Business Unit (LBU) ensuring people plans are developed in line with the First Bus People Strategy.

As an valued member of the local SLT, you will role model inspirational leadership and demonstrate a high challenge/high support approach to the senior leaders of the LBU, as well as coaching and developing senior leaders in line with the behaviours and competencies expected in their roles.

You'll take a data led approach on topics such as absence, attrition, exit interviews, engagement & D&I metrics to drive commitment that build a positive, all-encompassing culture that creates people engagement and alignment to First Bus values.** **Supported by** **a HRBP, you'll provide knowledge, motivation, guidance and support on key business needs.

**The Day to Day**
- Reporting into the Direct of People Partnering you will work collaboratively with your Head of People peer group, centres of excellence functions and business partners to ensure effective HR delivery within your LBU.
- You will contribute towards the evolution of the First Bus People strategy through your expertise; and by identifying and sharing local insights, trends and business requirements.
- You will role model inspirational leadership and demonstrate a high challenge/high support approach to the senior leaders of the LBU, as well as coaching and developing senior leaders in line with the behaviours and competencies expected in their roles.
