**Job description**:

**Job Purpose**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- You will record information concisely and accurately, in line with SLC procedures.
- You will be highly skilled at using the SLC systems effectively and have a full understanding of the SLC procedures ensuring the accuracy of the information that you provide to customers.
- You will have developed an understanding of the reasons why a process exists and be a significant and relied upon contributor to the proposal of solutions.
- You will play an active part in the coaching process, giving and receiving feedback to colleagues and Team Leaders and taking ownership of your agreed objectives.
- When required you will help others and role model the required behaviours to an exceptionally high standard.
- You will not walk past a problem, taking ownership and appropriate action whilst delivering the best possible service.
- You will positively engage with the SLC career pathways and take ownership of your agreed development plan, enabling flexible working across multiple work types.
- You will proactively engage in the improvement process within SLC and your immediate role to the benefit of customers, the business and your colleagues.
- In all aspects of your work, you will observe and demonstrate commitment to all SLC policies and guidance including health and safety, security, GDPR, Anti-Fraud, equality and diversity.

**Person specification**:
**What you bring**:

- A demonstrable ability to communicate with customers clearly, concisely and politely
- A demonstrable ability to work in a high-volume processing/customer service centre environment.
- Experience of working well within a team.
- Accuracy and attention to detail to achieve high standards of work in line with personal goals and those of the business
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Understand and interpret a wide range of information to inform advice and decision making
- Computer literate with ability to work across multiple open programmes (Office 365, CRM systems, databases etc)
- Ability and enthusiasm to learn and develop own skills
- A minimum of GCSE English and Maths or equivalent level qualification
