As a Banking Assistant, you will be:

- Responsible for the import of bank statements and data from internal finance system into banking reconciliation software
- Ensure weekly data file from division’s reporting systems is imported into internal finance systems
- Reconcile entries from bank statements to those from the branches
- Identify and investigate discrepancies and escalate to Cash and Banking Manager as appropriate
- Ensure all other transactions on the bank statement are correctly posted into the internal finance system
- Resolve all queries raised by branches, divisional support teams within the required timescale
- Produce bank reconciliation for each division at period end
- Produce reporting as required to agreed timeframes and resolve any queries
- Review any aged debt regularly and ensure any queries are resolved promptly.
- Ensure all period end deadlines are achieved
- Ensure that processes and controls are documented and applied
- Work with the Cash and Banking Manager to identify any risks and suggest improvements

**About You**:

- You will be able to manage workload to deliver multiple tasks to tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Awareness of financial risks and controls
- Excellent IT skills including intermediate excel
