**Job description**

**Required education & experience**
- PhD degree in relevant field (e.g. Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology)
- 5 years of experience in biologics drug discovery in an industrial selling
- Experience in the development of antibody-drug conjugates is highly desired
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative and presentation skills, ideally with experience managing small teams internally and external contractors
- Experience of line management including setting goals and research plans against objectives
- Experience in one or more of the following:
Antibody discovery & optimization, in vivo assessment of drug efficacy, antibody linker design, toxic payload selection, PK/PD assay development, organoid or other ex-vivo patient-derived model systems, cancer cell biology, safety and toxicity assessment

**Reporting lines**
- Function reports to CSO

**Main areas of responsibility**
- Utilise expertise in molecular biology, antibody engineering, assay development and screening to facilitate drug discovery and for understanding mechanism of action
- Contribute to the selection and validation of drug targets to enhance our project portfolio
- Documentation of work in plans and reports to support patents, and publications

**Areas of support**
- Work with external vendors and CROs to source and deliver against drug discovery objectives

**Salary**: From £60,000.00 per year
