Exciting role initially temporary to start ASAP. Working for part of the University the Associate Director will be a key player in the team responsible for delivering growth for this particular program.

You will manage a small business development team and portfolio of programmes including managing the launch of new executive programmes alongside some established offerings.

Taking a lead role in their team’s business development activities, maintaining excellent working relationships with faculty, developing relationships with corporate sponsors, designing new ways of attracting high quality participants, and working collaborativelywith other teams in order to grow the portfolio in line with the School’s strategy.

With the responsibility procuring and overseeing the effective delivery of an income of between £1.5-2m plus per annum, applicants will have experience of managing a P&L and preparing business plans.

Duties will include:

- Prepare and oversee business plans and budgets for programmes, working alongside the marketing team.
- Implement programme and business budgets and contracts, negotiate with Programme Directors and contributors to ensure that profit targets are achieved.
- Take the lead in co-ordinating the overall promotion and business development for their respective portfolio, ensuring consistency of messages and an approach which aligns the development of the portfolio with the overall strategy of the School.
- Lead the activities of a cross functional team, including marketing and business development staff to ensure that the School has an effective pipeline of good quality applicants for Open Programmes.
- Review programme performance with programme directors and senior management.
- Present the work of the School to external audiences, translating technical concepts where necessary and using a variety of routes (including via the web, in presentations and through personal networking)
- Be aware of the range of typical individual and organisational learning needs that Open Programmes must address, and the learning experience.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with faculty, programme directors and contributors.
- Manage the launch plan and budget for significant new executive programmes in conjunction with marketing colleagues and faculty.
- Manage and mentor a team of Business Development Managers, Business Development Assistants, Business Development Officers and Programme Advisors
- Develop new and existing relationships with corporate sponsors.

Successful applicants will have a proven track record of success in a business development role at a senior level, with demonstrated ability to identify, establish and maintain relationships with senior executive. You will be commercially astute and haveexperience of managing budgets.
