**Overview**:
We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in overseeing workshop operations.

**Duties**:

- Oversee and manage a team of workers, including technicians, mechanics, and support staff.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily workshop activities to meet production and service targets.
- Ensure the workshop operates efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- Monitor production and service processes to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures and resolve any quality issues promptly.
- Manage inventory of materials, tools, and equipment required for production and service tasks.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely availability of necessary resources.
- Ensure that all operations adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety training and inspections.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback related to workshop services.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products and services in a timely manner.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production and service operations.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
- Lead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
- Assist in preparing and managing the workshop’s budget.
- Monitor expenditures and control costs to stay within budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and procurement to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, management, and customers.

**Knowledge, Skills, Education, Training and Experience**:

- Engineering background, time-served and ideally with further qualifications such as a HNC or equivalent.
- Previous management experience and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have proven team-working skills across all levels of the organisation.
- Planning and organisational skills are also required to ensure departmental and business objectives and deadlines are met whilst ensuring the integrity of the Company.
- Excellent written and verbal skills are required to convey issues to your management and employees alike.
- The ability to make judgements on decisions and risk where there are conflicting objectives and opinions or unavailable information.
- PC literate: good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems is essential.

Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
