**Directorate of Technology, Estates & Facilities - (Estates Operations & Maintenance)**:
The Directorate of Technology, Estates and Facilities [DTEF] is responsible for ‘providing outstanding work, study, research facilities, and facilities to enhance the student experience, on campus and online’.

This role is part of the Estates Operations & Maintenance team. We have an established multi-skilled technical team who undertake planned maintenance, installation, alterations and repairs throughout the University. The team also oversees contracted and maintenance repair work and implements minor project and improvement works.

**Role**:
You will form part of a semi-skilled maintenance team providing support to the University reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) service and delivery. You will also be required to carry out semi-skilled minor works improvements supporting a skilled trades team. You will also be required to support the setting up and preparation of rooms or areas for occupancy by key stakeholders

You will be required to be part of a rota shift pattern.

Typical tasks that you will undertake include, but are not limited to the following: Baths to Shower Conversions, Boiler and Cistern upgrades, Lamping, Fire alarm testing, silicon sealing, patch and paintwork repairs, room preparations.

**Skills, Experience & Qualification needed**:

- Basic working knowledge of building services and/or fabric.
- Practical experience in relevant building trades activities for example: Plastering, Tiling and/or Ground Works
- Ability to carry out manual work including lifting and handling, working at heights and lone working.
- Evidence of being able to uphold our behaviours
