The Role
Due to the surplus of work our client has plans to grow the Manchester office. As a result, they are looking to recruit an engineer for a senior or technical consultant position, with specialist experience in power system dynamic studies.
Responsibilities include:

- Delivering specialist technical services to clients in the electricity sector.
- Carry out power systems studies and analysis for a wide range of energy projects covering onshore and offshore renewable energy.
- Support business development.
- Expand the company's services within the UK and internationally in relation to specialist skills.
Essential Requirements:

- A motivated, self-driven individual with experience in power systems studies, and existing knowledge of technical connection/compliance requirements.
- Strong experience in the delivery of detailed power systems studies, specifically dynamic studies and dynamic model development in software packages such as PowerFactory, PSS/E, or IPSA.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and time management.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable:

- Post-graduate degree in engineering.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of the continuous changes in codes and standards such as Grid Code, G99, P28, G5/5
- Previous experience in dynamic studies and/or offshore renewables.
- Bespoke dynamic model development in PowerFactory and PSS/E for inverter-connected generation as well as conventional AVR and governor modelling.
- Capability in Python, or another similar modelling language.
- Commercial awareness.
