Our aim is to enable asset owners/managers and construction companies to make timely decisions that reduce the risk of a project throughout the asset life cycle.

Reporting directly to the Divisional Managing Director, this key operational leadership role will be responsible for the planning and delivery of technically diverse structural monitoring projects delivered through a team of specialist project managers, engineers and technicians operating from bases in our Warrington and Bristol offices.

Given the nature of the role you will be based from either our Bristol or Warrington office and you required to travel between BES Group office locations, customer offices and customer sites as required. You will be required to travel and stay overnight as required.

**What will I be doing?**

Whilst experience in a similar technical construction or monitoring based role will be highly desirable, more essential is your ability to plan and coordinate the safe delivery of multiple concurrent projects through a field based engineering team. Always putting safety first, you will be a confident and inspiring leader, an excellent communicator and be able to motivate and develop an already expert team. You will be comfortable dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders and in the management of a complex supply chain. You will also be highly numerate and have experience in managing costs to achieve budgeted margins.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring customer demand is correctly planned, resourced (people, materials, equipment and transport) and delivered to the required cost, quality and timeline.
- Specifically, to be accountable for the end to end project process including workshop/office/site based activities for the project lifecycle: a) pre-site planning, design, system preparation/assembly, testing; b) on-site instrumentation installation and testing; c) post-site reporting, data monitoring; d) system maintenance tasks (planned or ad-hoc).
- Managing the working hours and patterns of the team which can cover normal business hours but can be at any time, including weekends and often at locations away from home including overseas.
- Developing and maintaining positive and engaging relationships with our customers
- Driving service excellence
- Ensuring all safety, risk and quality management systems are maintained and developed
- Managing the preparation and then overseeing any external certification audits conducted on the Structural Monitoring Sub-Division
- Managing and improving all aspects of operational performance through a suite of cost, quality and service delivery KPI’s
