A new and exciting opportunity for a 3-month summer student placement in the Informatics and Digital Solutions (IDS) department at the Wellcome Sanger Institute.

**About the Role**:
The summer student placement is designed to help Sanger Institute businesses and teams accomplish real, impactful projects, while giving students engaging and meaningful work experience.

You will be included in regular team activities, including team meetings, working sessions, and meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Many student workers form long-term relationships with mentors, advisors, and peers.

**About You**:
You will be supporting experienced colleagues managing the design, development, deployment and/or support of cutting-edge systems and tools that are critical to our business.

You will be involved in providing project management support. Project work could include supporting the creation of training materials and resources; creating and organising relevant materials for business meetings; developing project management processes and approaches.

You may support the organisation in the development of product requirements gathering, processes and systems flows, information and data gathering in different areas/stakeholders involved in the projects as well as development of project plans.

You may provide support in the creation of guidance documentation relating to information management and information risk governance, as well as producing and publishing information security policies and procedures.

The Informatics and Digital Solutions (IDS) organisation publishes information and resources to assist end-users/customers with making the best out of the provided IT hardware, software and informatics services.

**Other Information**:
We have adopted a hybrid working model to allow for flexibility between office and remote working.

**Salary: £20,972 Per Annum**
