Wentworth Club is one of the world’s finest private members Golf and Country Clubs, famous for its outstanding three Championship golf courses, in addition to a luxury Tennis & Health Club. The Club is surrounded and entwined within the Wentworth Estate, one of the most prestigious private estates in the London suburbs where many of the world’s premier golfers have their home.

The role of Receptionist in Wentworth's Tennis & Health Club is to undertake the duties of the post in such a manner as to effect an efficient and profitable operation and to ensure the satisfaction of members and visitors to the Club. Part-time position also available.

**Key Areas of Activity**
- To establish and maintain the highest possible standards of contact with members, their guests and visitors to the club, being helpful and courteous at all times.
- Maintain a high standard in personal appearance and demeanour and exhibit behaviour suitable for Reception at all times. Ensure regular punctuality.
- Have a basic knowledge of all departments within the Tennis and Health Club and Club House, their main duties and their personnel, in order to deal with calls and transfer enquiries to those best able to deal with them.
- Efficient and pleasant answering of all calls and their distribution. Full knowledge of the switchboard and internal phone system.
- Knowledge of paging and radio system. Working knowledge of facsimile machine, photo-coping and laminating machine.
- Able to efficiently carry out all administration and preparations required for all activity areas of the Club, including the distribution and processing of relevant information to various departments.
- Welcome and registration of arriving guests, altering the Duty Manager as and when required for show-rounds and extensive welcome duties.
- To communicate closely with the Housekeeping and Facilities teams in terms of any reports of action required.
- To work with all other departments in a suitably helpful and courteous manner.
- Full knowledge and efficiency in taking tennis, swimming and other bookings and reservations, as required. Understanding and actioning of cancellation and confirmation policies.
- Knowledge of Club rules and regulations and booking details.
- To courteously, effectively and efficiently answer all queries at the Front Desk.
- To be sufficiently well informed to ‘market’ all facilities of the Club.
- Recording of all relevant comments of appreciation, suggestions and maintenance points in order to initiate follow-up. To inform Operations Manager or Duty Manager immediately of any complaints or potential problems
- To keep Reception area neat and tidy at all times.
- To be involved with all credit and cash transactions and to record such information accurately for the use of the Accounts Department.
- Maintain security of keys held at Reception, ensuring that key cabinet is locked at all times and that keys are signed in and out, without exception.
- Be responsible for monies held at reception in the care of the Receptionist. Accepting monies from other departments in connection with their daily business and accurate receipt of these.
- Ensure that there is enough change in the float, especially at weekends and over Bank Holidays.
- Full understanding of the JONAS till and JAM systems.
