**Job summary**:
The Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) directorate has recently been established in UKEF, drawing together the expertise in digital currently within the organisation to provide representation of digital services, user centred design, analytics and technology at the highest levels.

UKEF is committed to be a more customer-centric organisation, making it easier for customers to deal with us, offering improved response times, quicker decision-making and improved case-processing. To enable this, UKEF is committed to using digital as a primary means for managing relationships with a wider range of stakeholders. Focusing on developing end-to-end services that meet user need and enable business outcomes, this is an exciting new role showing the growth and drive of UKEFs digital ambition.

**Job description**:

- The role exists to lead, invigorate, and develop the UCD profession and community within UKEF. It is a crucial leadership role which will drive engagement and development of the people in the profession as they work to research, design and create products and services; as well as significantly contribute to the on-going development of DDAT as a whole within the department, ensuring our users’ needs are at the core.**Person specification**:

- Provide strong design UCD leadership and vision to support UKEF in becoming user-led
- Responsible for developing and shaping strategies to introduce and drive awareness of UCD and building the influence of the team across the organisation, negotiating & influencing senior leaders across UKEF to embed the practice
- Responsible for leading the UCD team across UKEF, shaping the UCD practice and improving ways of working by embedding consistent and high quality professional standards across research, design, business analysis and process improvement
- Role model inclusive leadership behaviours to promote a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, support your team to develop communities of practice (for research, analysis, design) and help these to grow within UKEF Accountable for building the skills of the team - ensuring that the team develop the skills, experience, ability and capacity across the UCD profession, including the provision of specialist learning where necessary**Behaviours**:
