A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Security Office to join the team, to enable Hovis to deliver on its vision of being the best quality brand in bakery. We are looking for a Security Officer to provide the site frontline security goods inwards and postal service working a 2 shift pattern of 35 hours per week. Diligent in the continuous monitoring of security status of the site, reacting to any potential issues. The role will also involve interaction with key personnel, both internal & external so a professional attitude, appearance & conduction of duties is essential
**The role consists of working 7 hour shifts over a 1 week cycle (35 hours), both days (6:30-14:00) & evenings (12:30-20:00) Monday to Friday.**
**Some of the key accountabilities include;**
- Conduct regular patrols of the site (both inside & around the outer perimeter) and react to any potential security breaches
- Check the legitimacy of vehicles etc. that enter on site and direct them to the relevant parking area
- Monitor the site CCTV
- Monitor door access control, issue passes for new starters, delete old passes
- Monitor the Site Fire Alarm panel - carry out weekly fire alarm tests
- Sign in contractors
- Conduct contractor induction
- Permits to work
- Issue, sign out and log keys
- Update contractor documents
- Securing and setting intruder alarm during out of office hours
- Locking of the site exit gates during out of office hours
- Contacting the emergency services if required during out of office hours
