**Salary**: £35,000 - £45,000

Location: Doncaster

Our client is a leading freight organisation in the rail industry, delivering outstanding logistics solutions, whilst dramatically reducing the carbon footprint in freight distribution. THE ROLE:
This role requires a commercially minded individual with procurement experience to

make the role their own upon arrival and make a difference from the start.

Key responsibilities include:

- Manage supplier approval and consistently improve business processes, making sure all approvals and renewals are completed in a succinct and timely manner.
- Maintain internal tools and resources in order to promote good procurement practise throughout.
- Development of relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.
- Support the Procurement Manager and various stakeholders with projects, delivery and receipt of bid documentation.
- Support experts with procurement activities offering contract management advice and guidance to ensure best value.

THE CANDIDATE:

- The ability to work on their own initiative, with excellent communication skills that allow them to liaise at all levels of the business.
- A mentality that thrives on variety, due to no two days being the same, a self -starting attitude is essential in this role in order to promote themselves within the business and draw on the resources at their disposal.
- Excellent organisational skills, with experience in multitasking, prioritisation of workloads and maintaining professional standards throughout.
- Strong IT skills are essential, with competency is Ms Office and Sharepoint.
