**Role Summary**

This role will support the Athena vision for all our students to lead great lives by providing an ambitious and comprehensive behaviour curriculum. It will play a role in improving the aspirations and outcomes of our students by supporting whole school suspension and behaviour admin. It will also provide effective and efficient administration to the SLT to support the school and Trust behaviour approach and contribute towards the delivery of world class education.

**Key areas of responsibility - What will you be doing**

**Build Knowledge**
- Continuously expand your understanding of the schools behaviour policies, procedure and behaviour curriculum.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest DFE guidance on suspensions and behaviour.
- Staying up to date with the ICT knowledge and expertise required to be an outstanding administrator.
- Widen knowledge, understanding and experience on how to manage communication effectively with the community, specifically challenging conversations and de-escalation.
- Collaboration with both administration, reflection and pastoral teams to build knowledge.

**Build Trust**
- Supporting SLT with regular reports around suspensions, highlighting trends and patterns.
- Monitoring of reintegration meetings to ensure all students are supported and the records are up to date.
- Consistency, reliability, and a commitment to the best interests of staff and students to ensure you earn and maintain trust within the role.
- Consistent delivering of daily and weekly suspensions administration.
- Daily commitments regarding suspensions: Sending letters home, updating school information system, updating class charts, informing staff internally, updating Devon County records.
- Ensuring social workers are contacted by the appropriate staff when vulnerable students are suspended from school.
- Communicating clearly, effectively and fairly with the school community to build trust and a rapport, at times this includes with students face to face.
- Fostering relationships with some of our most vulnerable families.
- Work closely with the reflection team, pastoral team, heads of year and tutors to support our behaviour curriculum.
- Ensuring safeguarding is a priority when students are being collected or dropped off from suspension including registers accurately updated.

**Prioritisation**
- Assess and prioritise tasks daily, ensuring that parental calls are made effectively.
- Managing the daily administrative tasks around communication home.
- Target is for all formal letters regarding suspensions to go home on the same day.
- Planning for the regular reporting both weekly and termly.

**Clarity and Energy**
- Communicating clearly with various stakeholders, including students, staff and the community.
- Deliver communication with enthusiasm and passion.

**Follow Up**
- Track student reintegration, address any concerns, and ensure they are on the right path.
- Follow up on commitments made and maintain positive relationships to ensure students benefit from these connections.
- Provide accurate reports to SLT regarding behaviour, weekly and termly.

**Qualifications**

GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Desirable_

A Level qualifications

**Experience**

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail and organisational skills

Ability to build meaningful relationships

Good problem solving skills and able to work under pressure

Competent use of IT equipment and systems

Ability to work alone and as part of a collaborative team

Good empathy and sensitivity

Relevant experience in an educational setting
