This is an exciting opportunity to join us at #TeamNP and play a critical role in ensuring evidential files are managed in accordance with National File Standard and are sent to CPS in a timely manner.

In this role you will complete a case file review on all pre and post charge not guilty files to ensure that the evidential file is consistent with the National File Standard and complete business recovery processes where required. Prepare performance data and provide detail of where the files have failed to meet the appropriate standard.

**What will I be doing?**

- Manage the case progression of all not guilty Magistrate court files which proceed beyond the first hearing. Prepare an individual case progression plan for each case and work with the OIC to ensure that any subsequent ‘upgrade’ file is submitted on time and to the appropriate standard.
- Manage the case progression of all Crown Court files, prepare an individual case progression plan for each case and work with the OIC to ensure that any subsequent file is submitted on time and to the appropriate standard depending on the next hearing and plea.
- Where further enquiries are received or required, identify the most suitable path for completion and review/complete a reply ensuring that Criminal Justice partners receive the information in a timely manner.
- ** **Advise and support operational officers in respect of the presentation of an evidential file for each relevant stage in the Criminal Justice process,

**What do I need?**

**Essential**:

- Experience of working in a multi
- disciplined team across a range of functions
- A Levels or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
- Experience of working in a complex environment achieving deadlines and performance targets
- Ability to achieve performance targets across a range of environments with competing priorities.
- Ability to review material and identify deficiencies accurately and to timescale
- Experience of working within a team to meet deadlines and manage a challenging workload.
- Ability to communicate effectively across a range of staff and supporting partners at different levels within an organisation

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge and experience of the Criminal Justice System
- Experience in managing competing priorities and working to tight deadlines
