GSL Education are working closely with high schools in Brent to provide Cover Supervisors daily. The main responsibility is to manage classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that pre-prepared activities are undertaken by students. This isa pivotal role and the person appointed will work closely with teaching staff and the other cover supervisors.
The ability to demonstrate a positive but firm approach to students to support their learning and maintain behaviour is essential. Appropriate training will be provided. Other responsibilities will include assisting with exam invigilation and accompanying staffon school visits.
**Educational requirements**:

- Degree preferred by not essential
- GCSE (or equivalent) pass at grade C or above in English/literacy and Maths/numeracy
- GCSE (or equivalent) pass at grade C or above in English/literacy and Maths/numeracy

**Essential skills and experience**:

- Experience of undertaking administrative duties
- Experience of working with children in the 13-16 age range
- Experience of managing behaviour of young people

- Able to provide two professional child related references
