Our Recycling division processes single source plastic with minor contamination into raw material, for both external sales and for our compounding division.

Luxus has the reputation as one of the most respected suppliers of high-quality, low carbon footprint materials to the Polymer industry, supplying the Automotive, Civil Engineering and household product markets.

We are seeking a site co-ordinator to work in our busy Recycling Department. The role requires a proactive problem solving individual, to oversee the day-to-day co-ordination of the site activities, reporting to the Operations Director. As this is an environment agency registered site, a key aspect of this role will be ensuring the requirements of our competent management system are met.

**Primary responsibilities will include**:
1. To take ownership and be the main site contact, working with the Process, Production and Engineering teams ensuring production facilities are fully utilised and issues/problems are dealt with quickly.

2. To plan production in conjunction with the site departments including sales, production and lab whilst making safe, effective and efficient use of staff, equipment and materials within agreed costs and quality standards.

3. Supervising Shift Leaders in their daily duties, managing safety, housekeeping, discipline, absence and sickness, holidays, training, communication, organisation and planning of workload.

4. To monitor operations and interpret the results in order to make continuous improvements wherever possible to reduce waste and increase production.

5. To liaise with the Purchasing, Logistics and Finance departments to ensure stock information, requirements and movements are met in a timely and cost-effective fashion meeting scheduled requirements.

6. To ensure all EA permit and CMS statutory requirements are followed.

Working hours are normally Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (42hrs). However, part of the role’s responsibility will need flexibility on hours to provide support to the 24/7 business needs as and when required.

**Qualifications and skills**:

- Good general education and knowledge of software packages, particularly Microsoft Office
- Ability to think strategically and adapt and implement new solutions.
- Good machinery knowledge and experience running extrusion machines would be a distinct advantage.
- Be able to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume environment
- Confident decision maker when working under the pressures of production
- Ability to plan time effectively and work to strict deadlines
- Ability to adapt and assimilate a wide variety of information and be willing to be involved in ad-hoc projects that may arise as systems are developed.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate professionally both externally and within the business.
- Flexible and positive attitude with an interest in sustainability
