**The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our established client based in Elland. We are looking for an experienced Shift Leader to join the team.**

**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 13:30pm until 22:00pm

**Pay Rate**: £14.50 per hour PAYE

**Location**: Elland, HX5

**Job Type**: Permanent

**The Role**
- Lead a team of approximately 14 staff on a permanent late shift, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
- Supervise, coordinate, and oversee all Factory operations, emphasizing Health and Safety.
- Manage activities including mixing, blending, filling, stock control, deliveries, and goods management.
- Ensure compliance with H&S standards, resolve production issues, and manage department.
- Collaborate with other supervisors to achieve and exceed key performance indicators.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean tools to reduce costs and enhance quality.
- Maintain a safe and efficient workplace, enforce work agreements, and break times.
- Uphold company quality standards for customer satisfaction.
- Monitor KPIs, achieve targets, and coordinate with support functions.
- Proactively prevent accidents, maintain housekeeping, and attend H&S meetings.
- Conduct various audits, manage stock, and liaise with departments.
- Motivate and lead the team, encourage improvement suggestions.
- Implement lean techniques for productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Report machinery issues, contribute to process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with procedures and work instructions.
- Manage personnel issues, training, and performance targets.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and non-conformities.
- Communicate KPIs, promote high standards, and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments for effective operations.
- Provide expertise, support, and input to continuous improvement efforts.

**Requirements**:

- Compliance with Health & Safety, Company policies, and procedures.
- Strong personal challenge and self-awareness.
- Resilience, optimism, adaptability, and openness to change.
- Collaborative and engaging approach, team development focus.
- Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred.
- Industry-related accreditation preferred.
- Proven manufacturing management experience.
- Proficiency in process design and improvement techniques.
- Extensive experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably chemicals or automotive.
- Strong communication, numeracy, and analytical skills.
- CoSHH, IOSH/NEBOSH certified.
- Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience, warehouse background preferred.
- Availability for flexible shifts and additional responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
- Proactive, results-driven, and adaptable.
- Effective under pressure and within deadlines.
- Strong team player with a professional demeanour.
- Hands-on, physically capable approach.
- Demonstrated leadership, motivation, and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of customer expectations and quality impact.
