- Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To Maintain cleanliness and general tidiness by adhering to schedules set by the housekeeper, this will include:

- General domestic duties in communal areas, resident’s rooms and bathroom and toilet areas. Carpet cleaning as required
- Assisting in the kitchen at key times if requested by housekeeper or person in charge
- Laundry duties as instructed by housekeeper and according to schedules
- When required to enter residents private rooms for the performance of domestic duties, to respect the opinion, privacy and dignity of the resident.
- To ensure that cleaning equipment is used and maintained correctly and that it is stored in a safe and clean condition
- Report any faulty equipment, damage to furnishing, fittings, resident’s property or structure of the building, defects or hazards in the home to the person in charge.
- Assist with the induction of new staff
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, supervisions and appraisals
- To attend mandatory training required for your role and other training that the manger may feel pertinent to maintaining the ethos of the home.
- To be aware of and adhere to the companies policies and the staff hand book in particular the employment, COSHH, Health and Safety and whistleblowing polices and the companies Dementia Care Standards.
- This list is not exhausted and you may be required to perform additional duties, due consideration will be given to yours skills and knowledge when requesting you to perform these additional duties
