Highways Drainage Surveyor

KaarbonTech is a data and software company, managing highway assets for local authorities across the country. We use innovative smart devices and cloud technology for efficient and collaborative working, making real improvements to our customers’ maintenance programmes.
We are looking for drainage surveyors and engineers to collect information about highway drainage assets, using our tablet devices in the field. The role will involve attending locations, lifting, measuring, photographing and reporting on the condition of highway drainage. We are looking to fill several similar positions across the country.
The role is a full time position, and will require regular travel and staying away, Work Location: On the road, various locations across the UK
Our pay range is £11.00 - £14.50 (£28,600 - £37,700 + overtime) depending on experience. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, but weekend working is always available. Work patterns are flexible, but surveyors are expected to achieve a 50 hour week.
**Preferred but not essential experience**:
- Experience of using data collection devices and smart phones
- Experience in the drainage industry
- LANTRA 12D T1 qualification or have experience working on the highway
- Experience as a drainage engineer / drainage operative
Applicants should be physically fit as there is a large amount of walking involved in some survey types, sometimes upwards of 6km per day. Full training will be provided.
Any operational costs incurred as part of this role such as petrol, travel and accommodation will be reimbursable.
